    We tried to reserve dinner at Chef Mickey's in March, however the only slot available on our date was 9:00pm. Too late with 3 kids. Has anyone ever heard of a waiting list option? Can I show up and hope for a table with a substantial wait time?

    Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With 5 small children of my own, I completely understand wanting an earlier dinner reservation! Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular character dining restaurants, so reservations are difficult to get if not made early. But do not lose hope, because I have received pixie dust many times and secured a coveted last-minute dining reservation!

    My advice would be to keep checking Walt Disney World's online Dining Reservation page.Sometimes cancellations happen, and with luck and timing, you can secure an earlier reservation. I would especially check around the 24-hour-window prior to your preferred dining time, since people cancel to avoid their credit card being charged if they cannot make their reservation or plans change. Sometimes Chef Mickey's does accept walk-ups and will give you an estimated wait time of when you ask at the podium. I would suggest trying that right when the restaurant opens for dinner.

    Chef Mickey's is one of my children's favorites, so I'm wishing on a star for you! I hope you have a magical vacation!
