I just tried passholder MagicBands on my last vacation. On how many vacations can I use them, and can they be used for admission on spree of the moment trips to the parks that that weren't planned online?

    Hi Amanda,

Any MagicBand that has an active annual pass tied to it will allow you entry to the theme parks, regardless of whether you have a resort reservation or have made any FastPass+ selections. Just this weekend, my husband and I made a spur-of-the-moment trip to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival. I wore my official passholder MagicBand; the one he took along was from a previous resort stay. Because our annual passes are tied to all the MagicBands we have, neither of us had any problems gaining entry to the park.

We've been passholders since the mid-1990s, and we love being able to make impromptu visits to the parks, sometimes just for an afternoon. The MagicBands make that even easier. I'm told the batteries are designed to last at least two years.

Please let me know if I can answer any other passholder questions for you. Enjoy your year of Disney fun!
