Hiya, Tim!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you have an upcoming stay at
Disney's Vero Beach Resort on the horizon. I have been to this wonderful beachfront property several times, Tim. Flippin' my fins in the Mickey-shaped pool, surrounded by surf and sand while immersed in the magic of Disney, allows you be part of both worlds - Disney AND a beach vacation!
First, Tim, I'm sorry to hear that the two-bedroom Villa wasn't available. But it's good to just keep swimming and put yourself on the Waitlist. Guests' plans change all of the time so it is always possible something will open up.
However, if you are on the
Waitlist and your requested booking becomes available, you should be automatically booked into the room for which you are Waitlisted. Unfortunately, there is no way for you or Member Services to tell your place on the Waitlist or if or when your room may become available. However, several planDisney panelists have come off the Waitlist, so sometimes, miracles take a little time.
If your Waitlisted room becomes available, any comparable plans made over the same dates will be automatically canceled. Your Vacation Points will automatically be used for the Waitlisted room, plus any additional Vacation Points needed to cover the cost of the two-bedroom Villa.
If you have any questions about this or Vacation Points for your specific account, I recommend giving
Member Services a call. They are able to look specifically at your booking and advise you on which Vacation Points will be used if the Waitlisted room becomes available and answer any further questions you may have.
I hope this helps you, Tim! If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, swim back here and we will be happy to lend you a fin and help you out.
Magically Yours,
Keri
