I tried to use my Disney Gift Cards to purchase a Disney Theme Park ticket and at the checkout says it only accepts Debit or Credit Cards payments. Is that true?

    Hello Rodrigo!

    Welcome to planDisney!

When purchasing your tickets on the official Walt Disney World website you can only use one form of payment which can be a Disney Gift Card. However, that gift card must be enough to cover the entire cost. I have a suspicion your gift card is not able to cover the cost of the purchase and that's why it is recommending you use a Credit or Debit card. If you want to use multiple forms of payment you will have to call and speak to a Cast Member. You could also most likely complete the purchase with the aid of your favorite local travel agent.

Disney Gift Card balances can be combined so that you can boost the balance on one card to be large enough for your purchase. Unfortunately, the maximum amount of money that can be on a Disney Gift Card is $500. Disney Gift Cards can also be used when you arrive at the Parks so if you don't use them for your tickets it will be great to use to cover trip expenses.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions let me know!

    Happy Planning!
