Hiya Rachel - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so excited to answer your question about
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera! Not only is it currently my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort, it also sits atop my favorite magical Disney Resorts Collection hotel -
Disney's Riviera Resort!
Advance dining reservations are always great, but I've had tons of luck snagging reservations a day or two before I need one. With most dining reservations requiring 24-hour cancelation notice, I hope some other Guests with changed plans will free up a reservation for your family!
The Walk-Up List is also a great option when available, and the Riviera is an amazing resort to explore while you wait.
Breakfast at Topolino's currently begins at 7:30 a.m. and parking at most resorts is currently limited only to overnight Guests and those with dining reservations. That being said, I was recently allowed to park at another resort by explaining to the parking attendant that we were hoping to join the Walk-Up List for dinner. Your mileage may vary, and it depends on how busy the resort and parking lot are, but it's worth a try! Alternatively, you could arrive at the Riviera by taking the
Disney Skyliner if you are staying at a resort or visiting a theme park on the Skyliner line! It tends to start running around 30 to 60 minutes prior to theme park opening, so you likely wouldn't be able to arrive at the Riviera when Topolino's Terrace opens, but at least you wouldn't need to worry about parking.
If you do find yourself at the Riviera but aren't able to have breakfast at Topolino's Terrace, there are still other great options! One of my favorite breakfasts at Walt Disney World Resort is the Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes at
Primo Piatto. We love to grab our to-go order and enjoy breakfast at one of the outdoor tables overlooking the water and grounds. The last time I was there we even saw Pluto hanging out on the lobby balcony greeting Guests! Not quite a formal character breakfast, but darn close!
I hope this information helps your planning.
Please let me know if there are other questions I can help with in the future!
