Hiya, Paige! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. We're happy to help with your
Disneyland Resort planning questions!
I recently ate at Blue Bayou with a couple of my planDisney pals.
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favorite rides, and dining with the ambient noise of the boats launching nearby was pure heaven. Paige, advanced dining reservations generally open 60 days before a specific date, so you should start checking back near the end of September. However, 60 days is not a hard and fast rule, and there are sometimes exceptions. A friendly Disneyland Cast Member told me that dining reservations are released between 2 and 60 days in advance. So if you don't score that
Blue Bayou reservation right at the 60-day mark, keep checking back!
If for some reason, your perseverance does not score a dining reservation before your visit, I recommend getting to
Disneyland Park early on the day of your visit. Head to Blue Bayou and inquire about joining the Walk-Up List for that day. You can also see if there is an option to join the Walk-Up List in the Disneyland Mobile App. Search for Blue Bayou and on the restaurant's screen, there may be an option to "Join Walk-Up List". Be aware that the app sometimes requires you to be near the restaurant to join the list. In both of these instances, being at the theme park early is your best bet for getting a dining reservation. You may need to be flexible with your dining time when booking for the same day. Hopefully, these tips help!
Paige, if you have any other planning questions before your visit, please
visit me again. I would be honored to help.
See you in the parks,
Melissa
