Hi Anita! It's great to have you stop back again to planDisney! I love getting a chance to chat Disney with a fellow Palmetto State resident! It's never too early to start planning your next Walt Disney World visit! With so much that goes into the planning process, it's best to get a head start.
When booking a vacation package through the Walt Disney World website that includes your Disney Resorts Hotel and park tickets, you are required to purchase a minimum of a 2-day ticket. If you only need a one-day park ticket, you'll need to purchase your tickets separately from your resort room. The downside to this is your
ticket purchase is nonrefundable, whereas if you booked it together as a package, you would have the opportunity to cancel up to 30 days prior to your visit. With that said, you'll never lose the value you paid for your tickets, so you can always put this amount toward a future ticket purchase.
I would suggest booking your
Disney Resorts Hotel room now and paying the required deposit. This will guarantee your room is reserved since availability, even into 2023, is already starting to fill up. You can then choose to buy your tickets when it is convenient for you. You do have a lot of time before your arrival date but I wouldn't wait too long since theme park reservations are required for entry to the parks each day. Keep an eye on the
theme park availability calendar for the month of your travel.
Once you book your resort and tickets, you can link them to your
My Disney Experience account using the confirmation codes provided upon purchase. Once linked, you can easily make modifications and changes as needed. You will have two separate confirmation codes for both your resort and tickets, so be careful when entering this information.
Anita, with
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party returning to the Magic Kingdom Park for the 2022 holiday season, we can only hope that this party will be a staple for years to come. Even if there is a change, I would still anticipate there being a party for the 2023 season. I have tickets to attend this year's event and I am so excited to experience it all! It really is the most magical time of the year!
I hope you have a fantastic time planning this stay! Make sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements relating to the parks and resorts!
Happy planning!
Greg
