    Hi, I tried to book Gar Wing @ Cont. for Nov. 2012. Absolutely no avail. at all! Someone said Disney sometimes blocks those rooms for conventions, but that they may become avail. at a later time. Is this true?

    Hi Jennifer,

    Yes, the Contemporary Resort is a convention hotel. Since you are trying to book far in advance, I'm a little surprised that the room category is completely booked already. Did you try calling instead of booking online? I've found that sometimes the travel planners at 407-W-DISNEY are able to see a better picture of the inventory than I am from my home computer. If you are unable to book, I would choose something else for now to be sure that you have a room. Then, from time to time, you can call back and see if conventions has released some of the rooms. Often times they will hold a block of rooms and then find that all of them are not needed.
