Ahoy there Nicole, and welcome aboard
planDisney!
I bet you arrrr so excited just thinking about your Disneyland Resort adventure this summer. With its tranquil setting and delicious fare,
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a favorite among scalawags and landlubbers alike.
Dining reservations usually open up around 7 AM PCT, 60 days in advance, and
because capacity is limited these days, it can be more difficult than usual to secure popular tables. You also need tickets and a confirmed
theme park reservation to gain access to theme park dining reservations, so if you haven't already linked your tickets and make reservations for
Disneyland Park on the day you are looking to dine, that could also be the culprit.
Nicole, my advice is to keep checking for openings as your visit approaches. Download the latest version of the
Disneyland Mobile App to your mobile device and when you have a free minute or two, open the app, click the + sign at the bottom of the home screen, and select "Check Dining Availability." I like to check while I'm waiting for my kids at a sports practice, watching a TV commercial, or picking up takeout.
If you are unsuccessful before your trip, consider using the
Mobile Dine Walkup Waitlist on the Disneyland Mobile App. With this feature, you can join a same-day waitlist for table-service dining at select restaurants. No luck here either? It's always worth politely asking the Cast Member at the check-in desk if there is any availability. You never know if you'll catch a last-minute cancelation. Best wishes for smooth sailing and I'll keep my fingers crossed that soon you'll be enjoying a
Monte Cristo Sandwich down on the bayou!
I hope this is helpful, Nicole. Thanks for cruising by planDisney with your question, and if there's anything else we can do before you set off on your adventure, come back and see us again.
Sea you real soon, matey!
