Hiya, Amber! Thanks for strolling on over to planDisney with your question! It sounds like you've got a little adventurer ready to explore the
Disneyland Resort—how exciting!
I can totally understand wanting to make sure your little one has the comfiest and most fun ride while you're making magical memories. It's true, there's so much to see and do, and little legs can get tired faster than a churro disappears!
Amber, you asked about bringing a tricycle stroller, and I know they're fantastic for everyday fun. You even mentioned removing the pedals, which shows you're really trying to make it work—a total Disney Imagineering pro move! However, the Disneyland Resort has
specific guidelines about which types of items are allowed inside the parks. Unfortunately, tricycles are included on the list of items that aren't permitted, so this may include your modified tricycle stroller. While the final decision rests with the Security Cast Members at the entrance, I'd be so disappointed for you if you went through all the effort of bringing your tricycle stroller, only for it to be turned away at the gates. That would be a less-than-enchanted start to your adventure!
But don't you worry, there are still plenty of ways to make sure your little explorer has a comfortable ride! The Disneyland Resort offers
stroller rentals just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. You can rent a single or double stroller for the day—think of it as a royal carriage fit for a prince or princess! It'll be yours to whisk around both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park.
If you happen to be staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel (lucky you!), you might even be able to rent a stroller for your entire stay. You can find more pixie-dusted details about that under the "Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests" section on the
stroller rental page.
Even as an adult, I'm always amazed by how much ground I cover in a day at Disneyland. Some of my highest step counts have been achieved there! Now, Amber, I'm probably not telling you anything you haven't heard from Mary Poppins herself, but even if your little one likes to walk a lot, I'd recommend considering a stroller for the afternoon or evening. That's when fatigue can really set in, and having a place for them to rest can make a big difference in keeping the magic going. Plus, it's a handy place to stash your
souvenirs!
No matter which way you roll, I'm sure you and your little one will have an absolutely enchanted time at the Disneyland Resort! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to send them our way—we're always happy to help!
