Tricks for standing in ride lines with a 20 month old. We just went to an amusement park this weekend and she had a hard time waiting for 10 minutes in a line.. please help! We leave for Disney World in just 3 weeks! We also have an 11 and 7 year old.

    Hi Kimberly,

Waiting in lines can be difficult with a toddler, but I think it's easier at Walt Disney World than anywhere else. Some of the queues, like Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo are now interactive, so waiting is much more manageable. In fact waiting for Dumbo might even be more fun than the actual ride!

For other lines that might not be so entertaining, make sure you come prepared with a bag of tricks. I know when my kids were little. I would break out a pack of raisins or other tiny snack during the really long lines. Stickers are fun too. I would give my little one a pad of paper and some tiny star stickers. By the time she finished a sheet, we'd be moving through the line. I know smart phones have all sorts of toddler friendly APPS available. Those come in really handy as well.

Whenever possible, get a FastPass for popular attractions. It will limit your time spent in line, and make your vacation much more enjoyable.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
