Howdy, Patricia. Welcome to planDisney.
When planning a trip to my second "home," I love dreaming about all the delicious places I hope to eat at. As Winnie the Pooh once wisely said, "What could be more important than a little something to eat?" Guests can make dining reservations through their My Disney Experience account up to 60 days in advance of their trip. If you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, then you get the added benefit of being able to make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of your stay (up to 10 days).
I'm sorry that you're having difficulties finding availability at your desired restaurants. In the words of Buzz Lightyear, "This is no time to panic." And before you quote Woody and reply, "This is a perfect time to panic!", I can tell you that plans change and people often cancel their reservations. They often do this a couple of days beforehand to avoid being charged. Therefore, I'd encourage you to keep checking in case any availability suddenly pops up.
And here's another suggestion for you: One of the brilliant features of the My Disney Experience Mobile App is the ability to make
walk-up dining reservations at select restaurants. Here's how you do it:
- Find a participating restaurant and make sure you're in close proximity.
- Open your My Disney Experience app.
- Click on "Check Dining Availability," select the size of your party, select the date, and then select "Now" under "Search by Time."
- You should be able to view the estimated wait time for your restaurant.
- Once you are added to the standby list, you'll be notified when your table is ready.
Patricia, did you know that they are also loads of great quick-service options throughout the Theme Parks? Some of my personal favorites are Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom Park, Ronto Roasters at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and any quick-service restaurant around World Showcase in EPCOT. You can even use the
Mobile Order Service available at many quick-service locations.
One last thought: Have you considered dining at Disney Springs? I've personally found that getting reservations at some of the restaurants at Disney Springs can be much easier. If you'd like a recommendation, then try
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. You won't regret it!
Ok, now I'm all rumbly in my tumbly! Time for something sweet. I hope you have a magical (and delicious) trip, Patricia. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
