Welcome to planDisney, Charlene!
Halloween is a spooktacular time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Trick or treating is a celebrated part of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park. The first time my husband and I attended this special ticket event, he insisted we go as West Virginia University football players. Fifteen years of marriage later, my family will be attending as our favorite Beauty and the Beast characters later this month. From country roads to a tale as old as time is quite a Disney transformation, don't you think?
While we don't know for sure which if any
Disney Resorts Collection hotels will offer trick or treating on Halloween this year, Charlene, my best tip is to seek out the activities board at your resort upon arrival. It's typically a sandwich-style board found close to the lobby and/or main pool area. Snap a photo with your phone so you can reference it when planning out your day. Activities range from on-theme pool games to movies on the lawn.
Last Halloween, my family stayed at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. At the Community Hall, my kids enjoyed making several complimentary Halloween crafts. Cast Members even gave my son a large packet of Halloween coloring pages and crayons to take back to the room with us. There were additional crafts available for a fee. Cast Members were also giving out candy from a large container and ghost lollipops. This
Foodie Guide to Halloween Bites from the Resorts of Walt Disney World is another great way to locate devilishly delicious treats during your stay.
I hope this information helps satisfy your sweet tooth, Charlene. Hurry back to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
