Is the trick or treating in the camping area at Ft. Wilderness "unofficial", I see alot of people talk about doing it but when I called the Ft. Wilderness office they said they don't do this. Please help.

    Carol:

I don't know that I would want to argue with the cast member you talked to, as I don't believe the trick-or-treating at the fort is advertised and is primarily aimed for the enjoyment of campers.

However, last year we were given the option of posting a flyer on our campsite that said we were participating in trick-or-treat at the campground.  By early evening, I'd say as many as half of the campers were sitting at their sites awaiting fellow campers who were out in costume and trick-or-treating.  Our family plans to take part again this year!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
