Hey Howdy Hey Jalaynee and welcome back to planDisney!
There is so much happening right now to celebrate the fall and Halloween season as well as getting a jump start on a few touches for the holiday season the day after Halloween! Thank you for your question on the specific offerings available for your little ones on your next trip. Let's get you some answers!
As a Girldad of 3, I can totally relate to your situation where your kids just might not be the right ages for a late-night celebration in Magic Kingdom with
Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party. Unfortunately, most of the special celebrations and festivities are held during the specific Halloween party hours. You will be able to see little touches such as the Mickey pumpkin wreaths hug on the light posts on Main Street U.S.A. but most of the Halloween-specific festivities are during the party itself. There still are many things you can do to celebrate the season without attending the Halloween party, which we can get into in a moment. Let's talk about the park hours first.
During your stay, you are more than welcome to visit Magic Kingdom on the nights of Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party.
Park hours may vary by date, so be sure to check online to see when the parks open during your stay. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will be able to take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. This benefit will allow you to enter the park 30 minutes before the park officially opens for time to experience otherwise hard-to-see attractions due to their popularity, such as Peter Pan's Flight in Magic Kingdom. You will be able to stay until the official start of the Halloween party which is at 7:00 PM EST on the nights it is held. This still gives you plenty of time in the parks to make the most of your day!
Alright now back to options for the evening after you leave Magic Kingdom. If you wanted to continue a special night with some cool sights, unique forms of transportation and tasty treats, try a self-guided monorail dessert crawl! The resort monorail will take you first to Disney's Contemporary Resort where you can stop by the
Contempo Cafe for
Worms in Dirt Cake or a Pumpkin Pie Tart. Head over to Disney's Polynesian Resort and visit
Capt. Cook's for a
50th Celebration Cupcake. Your final stop will be at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to visit
Gasparilla Island Grill where you can try Halloween-themed treats. The
Black Flame Candle or Bewitching Minnie Mouse Cupcake are worth the trip!
Over at your resort, you should also find Movies Under the Stars playing a special Halloween-themed Disney movie which is super fun to sit outside and enjoy a show!
You've got a few options to still have a not-so-spooky Halloween time during your next stay! Please feel free to reach out and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
