Welcome to planDisney, Mary!
You'll be living out your very own Swiss Family Robinson adventures soon with a stay at the Treehouse Villas at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. My family enjoyed our first stay at one of these magically rustic hideaways in November and we'll definitely be back. My kids loved having their own room, complete with bunk beds and a TV. My husband says they get their
glamping genes from me.
The leisure pool at the Treehouse Villas is closed for scheduled maintenance "through late March 2023," which means it should reopen in time for your April visit. This is a convenient spot to enjoy a dip in the pool or whirlpool spa without leaving the Treehouse Villa compound. My family passed by this pool multiple times on our way to other destinations and the army of spitting frogs looked especially welcoming.
My family has enjoyed multiple pool days at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa in recent years and I would love to share my thoughts on the
pool scene for young swimmers. Coming from the Treehouse Villas, the leisure pool at The Grandstand is the closest walk (~10 minutes) and has a fun splash pad. On our most recent pool-hopping day, this was our first stop before heading to the closest feature pool, High Rock Spring Pool.
High Rock Spring Pool is the activity hub of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. It's conveniently located by
The Artist's Palette for a mobile order lunch, right next to Community Hall for a craft or game break, and the place to be for afternoon poolside activities like trivia and Name That Tune. The pool, itself, boasts a zero-depth entry point, a 128-foot slide for bigger kids, and a miniature waterslide for little ones. The Treehouse Villa shuttle drops you at The Springs bus stop (closest to the High Rock Spring Pool) or it's about a 15- minute walk.
The other pool my kids tell me I have to mention is the Paddock Pool. It's farther from the Treehouse Villas but typically less crowded than the High Rock Spring Pool area. The main pool has zero-grade entry, which is ideal for toddlers, and a 146-foot-long water slide. The Paddock Pool area also has the largest aquatic play area for Guests 48 inches and under with two miniature slides. Food is available at
The Paddock Grille. The Paddock Pool is a short walk from The Springs bus stop, or you can hop on any theme park bus at The Grandstand bus stop and take it two stops to The Paddock.
If you happen to forget any must-have pool items, the store at Artist's Palette has a selection of items like swimsuits, sunscreen, and goggles. Children's life vests are available at all pools and I can pretty much guarantee your grandchildren will have a splash-tastic time wherever they decide to get their feet wet.
Thanks for bringing such a fin-tastic question to planDisney, Mary. Let's
chat again soon.
