Hi there, Michelle!
I'm so excited for your upcoming Very Merrytime Cruise aboard the Disney Treasure. No, really! I'm extremely excited! That's because I'll be on board that same sailing with my family too! Who knows? Maybe we'll happen to see each other aboard.
The Treasure will be starting its first full holiday season this year since its maiden voyage over Christmas in 2024. So we don't have any recent history of Very Merrytime Cruises aboard the Treasure to get a feel for exactly what the activity schedule will look like on our upcoming cruise. That said, it can sometimes be helpful to compare with similar itineraries aboard other Disney Cruise Line ships. For example, the Disney Wish, the Treasure's more seasoned sister ship, had 15 magical Merrytime cruises during the last holiday season. Apparently, the Wish has typically hosted a tree lighting activity, usually including help from beloved Disney Characters such as Mickey and Minnie. And yes, that activity has usually been scheduled for about 7:30 PM on the first night of the voyage.
Given the history from previous Very Merrytime Cruises aboard other Disney Cruise Line ships, you might reasonably expect a similar experience to be scheduled on the first night of our upcoming sailing aboard the Treasure. That said, each ship has its own distinct flavor of Disney Cruise Line magical experiences. Activities may vary on our upcoming cruise. So be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once on board the ship for the latest details of the available entertainment and activities.
As for what you might expect other passengers to be wearing, that may vary quite a bit. The dress guideline for the restaurants on the first night of our 7-night voyage is "cruise casual." You'll likely see a variety of styles. You may see a few families wearing matching holiday-themed pajamas looking for an opportunity to snap the perfect Christmas card photo in front of the tree. Perhaps some may be wearing fancier clothing. But I wouldn't expect to see much of that on the first night, as most passengers will be saving their finer outfits for the optional Formal Night (currently scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025, on our cruise) or the optional Semi-Formal Night (scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025). You are welcome to dress according to your personal preferences for that first night of the cruise. After all, it's your vacation to enjoy as you desire! I think my wife and I will probably choose to wear matching holiday-themed shirts from the Disney theme parks that day.
Tony's Tips: On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, after the Treasure weighs anchor and leaves the port of George Town, Grand Cayman, the ship will be filled with swashbuckling fun during Pirate Night. If you'd like, you're welcome to pack your pirate outfits to immerse yourself in the experience of the deck party and fireworks that night. Another special occasion during our cruise will be on Friday, December 5, 2025. That will be Walt Disney's 124th birthday. While there probably won't be any specific activity scheduled to commemorate Walt's birthday, I think I will be wearing a "happy birthday" button in honor of the visionary creator who inspired the amazing adventure we'll be having on the Disney Treasure.
Happy holidays, Michelle!
