Hi, I am treating my family to a 5 day Disney Vacation. 6 adults and 4 grandkids. It will be the first time for my grandkids, ages 4,7,8,11.What hotel would be most fun for them? Keep in mind, I'm on budget. Moderate price would be ok.

    Hi Danielle,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I must tell you that what you are doing for your family is truly wonderful. Even though it was forty years ago, I will never forget the time I spent with my grandmother at Walt Disney World Resort. They are such precious memories that I will forever hold dear. You are investing in memories that your family will carry with them always.

Based on the composition and age range of your travel party, I am going to suggest that you book two rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This moderate resort, located just down the Sassagoula River from Disney Springs, is just dripping with charm and southern hospitality. As a bonus, the rooms at this resort can each accommodate five. That will definitely help with the budget. And, if your grandchildren enjoy water fun, they're going to love Ol' Man Island. It's the main feature pool and water play area at Riverside. Kids (and adults) of all ages love this old fashioned swimmin' hole. There's a fishin' hole nearby too where guests can participate in catch-and-release fishing. On select nights, the entire family can enjoy live music in the River Roost Lounge with beloved cabaret performer, YeeHa Bob. Many guests return time and time again to hear him perform.

Let us know if you need any additional advice, Danielle. We would love to help!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
