Hi, we are travellling to Disney on september with our 4 year old son. We will stay at the French Quarter. However, I am still not sure if it is a better option to spend the extra money and stay at the Animal Kingdom instead. What do you suggest?

Hi Alexandra - I've stayed at both of these hotels with my children, and have enjoyed being at both of them.  While I do think that Animal Kingdom is one of the nicest resorts on Disney property, it is definitely more expensive than Port Orleans French Quarter.

Whether or not the price increase is worth it really depends on how much time you spend in the room.  We found that when we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, we actually did spend a good amount of time there - at the pool, viewing the Savannas, and eating at the restaurants.  When the kids went to sleep, my husband and I would sit on the deck watching the animals and relaxing.  So, for us, it was definitely worth the extra money.

However, if your family just plans to use the hotel to sleep in, then I'd save the extra money.

    I hope that helps!
