Hi Jodie! Thanks so much for bringing us your question here today. After a long flight with kiddos, an efficient onward journey is priceless!
We have been able to take Ride Shares, such as Lyft, with (our own) two car seats, ensuring that we requested an 'XL' car. While at Walt Disney World, getting around is a breeze using the complimentary Disney Transport, including the
charming ferryboats. I'm not sure where you are staying, Jodie, but many nearby hotels offer bus services to and from Disney Parks.
I do recommend considering car hire, especially if you are staying offsite. We've often found some great deals from the U.K. We've brought along our own car seats and hired them through the car rental company for a small additional cost - both options have worked out fine.
Having our own car meant we could leave and enter the Parks whenever needed, stock up on supplies in grocery stores, and never needed to wait for a taxi to arrive. It also means you can leave the two car seats in the car, safe in the knowledge you always have access to safe transportation. Don't forget to factor in parking charges when weighing up the cost benefits. It's subject to change, but you can expect to pay around $25 daily for standard parking at Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
I hope you all have a fabulous adventure at Walt Disney World, and if your four-year-old twins are anything like my Cars-mad son at that age, make sure you stop by
Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's a welcome air-conditioned break for us parents and a delight to see the look of your kids when an idolised character comes to life. If you'd like more ideas, there's a helpful video about
experiences little ones will love with our fabulous panelists, Nimmy and Lauren.
We're here to help, so please pop back to planDisney with any more questions, Jodie. Have a magical adventure, Louise.
