Hi, I am travelling with a 3 year old and a 1 year old in late December. I was wondering what the weather is like so I know how to pack for the trip. Thanks

Welcome to the Moms Panel Linda!

Planning for the weather is always super important for me so I'll be prepared and know what to pack.

Here are the averages for the month of December:

    • Average high temperature: 72.9
    • Average low temperature: 51.3
    • Average precipitation: 2.15
Keep in mind that these are averages so it can vary. I was there in the beginning of December last year & one morning it was 25 degrees. I went back at the end of the month and wore short sleeves during the day.

Right before your trip, check out the 10-day forecast at www.weather.com. You can search the forecast for Disney World to see if there are any crazy weather patterns predicted during your visit.

I am a little (lot) cold natured so I would probably pack long pants & some long & short sleeve shirts. If any of you are hot natured, you could throw in a pair of shorts. I'd also pack a sweatshirt, hat & gloves (just in case). I would pack a jacket but would check the forecast before deciding if I needed a lighter or heavier jacket. They do sell sweatshirts, jackets, hats & gloves in the parks & Downtown Disney but you'll also pay theme park prices for them. For a Disney fanatic like me, I'm always happy to have the "excuse" to buy anything with a pair of mouse ears on it.

I would also pack a beach towel or light blanket to take with me during the evening. They are great to use to bundle up (if needed) while waiting for parades & fireworks. Its also nice to sit on. I would also pack blankets to bundle the kids in their strollers at night.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
