travelling to WDW with a 9 yr old who is a big eater. Got the DDP but am not sure he will be satisfied with many of the kids menu options for quick service meals. Does Disney allow you to pay for an adult dining plan for a child ? is it worth the cost?

    Hi there Tanya,

Purchasing an adult Dining Plan for your child shouldn't be a problem, but you'll need to place the order over the phone with a cast member.  The online system will have your child's name stored and will automatically default to a child's dining plan since he/she is only nine!

If your child is used to ordering adult entrees, then I'd say it's definitely worth the money.  That said, my daughter is also a big water who enjoys almost anything.  She usually strays away from the children's menus under normals circumstances, but at Disney, she is always able to find something she likes on the children's menu.  I think you'll be surprised to discover the offerings, and many locations even offer appetizers with the child's meal!

    Best Wishes,
