Hi, there!
Landi, I'm so excited to hear you're traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort soon with a 1-year old in tow. Our youngest son made his first trip when he was the same age and the memories we made during that vacation are priceless!
Did you know that located within each of the 4 Walt Disney World Resort theme parks is a convenient
Baby Care Center? Each Baby Care Center has private nursing rooms, changing room, feeding area with highchairs, kitchen and family-room area. In addition to those amenities, you can purchase items like baby food, wipes and diapers in the on-site shop. We did not pack enough diapers once and completely ran out by the last day of our vacation. Boy, were we glad to be able to buy more diapers and wipes at the Baby Care Center!
One of my favorite tips for Walt Disney World Resort with a baby is to take an afternoon rest. Even though my boys are a bit older now, we still leave the park in the afternoon to take a nap at our Resort hotel before returning to the parks in the evening. When we return to the parks for dinner and evening entertainment, I make sure to pack the kids' pajamas in our backpack. At least one of them inevitably falls asleep on our way back to our Resort hotel and having them dressed for bedtime before we leave the park makes getting them into bed much easier!
Another tip I would suggest is to book a Character Dining Experience, like
Chef Mickey's. Here, Mickey and his pals will visit your table while you and your family enjoy a delicious buffet meal. We will never forget our first visit to Chef Mickey's; Goofy gave our 1-year old a bottle! It was hysterical!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
