I will be travelling to WDW September 2011, My 9 year old son, has high levels of insulin and can't eat any sugar. Can we find any place that has sugar-free desserts( especially ice-cream) in their menu?

Hello Sandra, My father is also a diabetic. So when we travel to Disney World, I'm always on the lookout for sugar-free desserts because I hate denying my Dad sweet treats while on vacation. I know the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom has carried sugar-free flavors in the past. And The Writers Stop in Hollywood Studios typically will have some kind of sugar-free treat. DisneyFoodBlog.com is a fabulous resource on other spots that carry diabetic friendly snacks. I hope this helps. Have a great vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
