hi we will be travelling to wdw november 18, i don't seem to be able to find an opening at Ohana's for the Character breakfast or Chef Mickey at the Contemporary; is it realistic to just show up at both places and succeed getting in? thanks

    Hi Ana,

Character dining is extremely popular, and can be booked up to 180 days in advance. Due to this, guests often have difficulty finding openings for Advanced Dining Reservations close to their arrival date. I don't want to discourage you and say that you will not be able to be seated for a walk-up reservation, because there is always the chance that guests will no-show. Your best bet will be to arrive right when the restaurant opens. Inform the Cast Member at the host / hostess stand that while you do not have reservations, you are willing to wait for a table. They can check their reservations at that time and see what the possibility is of squeezing you in. Honestly, I have been turned away before when attempting to secure last minute character dining. However, I have also lucked out and been able to get in after waiting a little bit.

It never hurts to try and these are both restaurants that would be a fantastic way to start your day.

Sprinkling some pixie dust and hoping you luck out,
