We will be travelling to WDW next week and will be there until after New Years. Can somebody please tell me the best location to watch the parades at Magic Kingdom and which of the theme parks should we be at to bring in the New Year (mainly 4 fireworks)?

Hello and welcome! I am so EXCITED for you and your family! I cannot think of a better way to bring in 2011. Well, there is no better way in my opinion and the Magic Kingdom would be my first choice, too! You simply must watch the parades in front of Cinderella's Castle. There is nothing more beautiful than watching a Disney parade go by with the castle as your backdrop. It is, well, just MAGICAL! As far as the fireworks are concerned, you may get a different opinion from many members on the Moms Panel. Personally, I LOVE bringing in the New Year and watching the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. For me, the Magic Kingdom is THE "park of all parks". Now, December 31st is a very popular day for the parks. If you are planning to visit the Magic Kingdom on this day, I would highly recommend arriving at the time that the park is scheduled to open. The Magic Kingdom is a popular choice on this day and capacity levels will be reached early in the day. Epcot is a great choice, too! ~Have a MAGICAL day!~
