We'll be travelling to WDW in March 2015. We intend to arrive as early as possible our first day, so our hotel room will probably not be ready. Do we need to go to the resort to have our Magic Bands activated or can we go directly to the parks? Thanks!

Hi Toby!

Wow, it is so awesome that you have your Walt Disney World vacation already planned for next year! You will not have to check into your Walt Disney World Resort first before going to the parks as long as your MagicBands are active in your My Disney Experience and you have a valid ticket linked to them (in order to enter a Walt Disney World theme park you would need a valid ticket linked to each MagicBand). You should be able to head to a Walt Disney World park to start having some fun while you wait for your room to be ready. Also keep in mind that you can check in early and opt to have a text message or email alert when your room is ready.

I hope that your March 2015 Walt Disney World vacation is truly amazing in every way!
