Hi Craig,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! So excited that you have a vacation to
Walt Disney World Resort on the calendar, has the countdown started yet?
For your purchases in June, your overall preference will be the deciding factor. I completely understand your reasoning for potentially using cash, transaction fees can dip into your funding very quickly. The good news is the Walt Disney World Resort continues to accept cash if that is your preferred method of payment. There are also
ATMs across the Walt Disney World Resort conveniently located within the Theme Park and Disney Springs areas.
If you prefer to use credit cards, you can utilize these across the Walt Disney World Resort as well. Currently, your
MagicBands, Google Pay, or Apple Wallet can also be used as forms of payment. Just link your selected credit card prior to your vacation and you’ll be all set.
Often when I travel to the Walt Disney World Resort, I use both cash and a credit card depending on where I am. For example, if I’m at
Typhoon Lagoon, I would use my MagicBand because it’ll always be on me in the pools and on all the slides. Using a form of digital payment is also super convenient if I'm moving quickly through the Theme Parks. Conversely, if I’m at
Disney Springs, I might use cash because I’ll most likely have a bag with me.
As you’re making your decision, I suggest you think about where you’ll be going in June and choose the option that is easiest for you and the guests in your party. If you still can’t decide, remember you can always use both!
