We’re travelling to WDW with extended family and we’re all on the same reservation, but I’m the ‘lead guest’. The other members of our party will arrive before me and my family - will they be able to check in to our accommodation without me being there?

    Hello Nichola!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are happy that you have decided to send another question our way.

It is absolutely fine for Guests in the same party to arrive at their Disney Resort hotel at different times. In January I visited the Walt Disney World Resort with 3 friends and we stayed in the same room at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Since we were all coming from different states and countries, we arrived at different times during the day. Our friend who was responsible for making the reservation was actually the last person to arrive.

When your family members arrive at your Disney Resort hotel, they should let Cast Members at Front Desk know that other members of their party will be arriving at a different time. They should also ask Cast Members to keep your MagicBands at Front Desk, and that you will be personally retrieving them upon arrival. If you would like to speed things up for your family, make sure to check in online up to 60 days before arrival.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nichola! I hope this helps you while planning, and that you and your family make unforgettable memories.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thana
