We are travelling to WDW and Disney Cruise 6-14 Sept. My son is having his 7 bday on 13 Sept (last day of cruise). Does the cruise have character breakfast on return to port day or should we plan for a disney character lunch/dinner?

Since you will be arriving back to Port Canaveral on Sunday, September 13, your family is sailing on the Disney Wonder.

Currently, only the Disney Magic offers character breakfasts during the 7 night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Also, character breakfasts are not served on the day of disembarkation. Mickey has too many tasks to complete when arriving back to Port Canaveral.

If you will be returning to WDW after your cruise, I recommend booking a birthday meal there. Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort would be a fun choice for dinner. My son loves watching the monorail zoom by, the characters and the buffet food.

There will be many opportunities to meet with characters while aboard the ship and during your time on Castaway Cay. Say hi to Captain Jack Sparrow!
