Thank you so much for this question. My oldest son is 14 years old and is really comfortable at Walt Disney World. He loves to pal around with his Dad or just on his own while we are all at one of the theme parks. There have been times where he has gone into the parks or left the parks on his own as well. Although there are no formal teen programs at Walt Disney World, he still has a great time by himself or with our family. Since your kids are so close in age, they would have a great time exploring! I would recommend giving them charging privileges on their Key to the World cards that you will get upon check-in. This will allow them to buy snacks and meals when you are not around. Of course, I always talk about responsibly spending and give a limit on other purchases. My family will usually schedule a time to reconnect- usually around meal time. At Old Key West, they can go to the Electric Eel Game Room or Hank's Rent 'N Return bike rentals. The surrey bikes are lots of fun! In the Community Hall, there are board games, table tennis, and arts and crafts. They can grab a ball and go to the tennis, basketball, or volleyball courts where I am sure they will meet new friends to hang around with. Another great idea is going to DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney. This is an indoor interactive theme parks with virtual games and classic Arcade games. There is so much for kids of all ages to do, your teens will never be bored!
