A warm welcome from all of us here at planDisney, Kathryn. I love welcoming Brits here, and I bet you just can't wait to set off on your Disney adventure next month!
Walt Disney World's Disability Access Service (DAS) helps Guests who have difficulty waiting in queues as once in place, it allows up to five fellow Guests to select return times for experiences rather than waiting in line. As a fellow U.K. resident, I know we cannot preregister for DAS at this time. I empathise as a lady that likes to plan, I understand your wanting to have this in place. Please do not worry as obtaining DAS in Florida really doesn't take too much time at all. Once you arrive at any Walt Disney World theme park, speak with
Guest Relations to determine if DAS is suitable and set up the service. You only need to do this once for DAS to be valid for your entire adventure.
Cast Members are kind and helpful and can assist with other needs, such as guidance on storing and refrigerating necessary medicine. Should you have any queries with your DAS within the parks, you can speak with the Guest Experience Team, and I know they will do their utmost to help.
Please know if you have specific questions, you can always speak with the
Disability Services team in advance of your visit by emailing disability.services@disneyparks.com. Rest assured, I know how hard these Cast Members work to ensure that Walt Disney World welcomes all Guests regardless of accessibility needs.
I hope this information helps, Kathryn! I wish you a wonderful time making magical memories at Walt Disney World.
