I will be travelling to Walt Disney World during low season (February 2015) and am wondering if I absolutely need to pre book restaurants for meals? I do not want to be over scheduled.... Thanks!

    Hi Jill,

We are both planners and last minute travelers! I have been on more than one Walt Disney World vacation without a single advanced dining reservation. (Maybe I shouldn't admit that here!) I think it depends on your goals for your vacation. If there is a certain restaurant that you will be sad if you miss, please make a reservation. If you are more concerned about not having to stick to a rigid schedule, then don't make reservations. I have found that even when park restaurants are booked, I can sometimes find a great reservation at a restaurant at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

Making dining reservations at the last minute is even easier now with the My Disney Experience app. You can search dining in any of the parks to see if you can find an available table! I can't wait to try that feature on my next vacation!

Wishing you a magical, relaxing vacation,
