Wendy, it's great that you found us here at planDisney! Welcome!
So, I may have made a critical mistake. In doing some research for your question, I asked a few suspicious characters that I probably shouldn't have. For instance, I traveled to Ursula's Lair deep under the sea. Now, you'd think the fact that it's inside of a dinosaur's skeleton would have deterred me, but apparently not. And then the fact that she had a creepy garden of plant-like beings that tried to grab me gave me a little hesitation, but I pressed on. After all, if my favorite princess, Ariel, can brave it, I can too. When I asked her your question, she wickedly laughed, bragged that she knows a little magic, and tried to get me to sign a scroll promising to give up my ability to answer any future Guest questions in exchange for a merman tail. Wendy, I hope you can forgive me, but I drew the line there. After all, I
enjoy answering Guest questions, no matter how much that merman tail was appealing to me.
Now you'd think I'd have learned my lesson. But I didn't turn away a highly fashionable lady with a very realistic faux fur coat (at least, I
hope it was fake) and black and white hair when she came up to me and asked me about the little doggy that my husband and I recently acquired. She seemed like she was "in the know," so as she petted my sweet little baby with a bejeweled hand, I innocently asked her your question. But, she was so very interested in my dog and the softness and color of her fur, that I don't think she had a chance to even consider my question. In fact, she just pulled out her checkbook and a very leaky pen and asked how much I'd take to give her my dog. She said she'd even answer your question if I sold her. I hope you won't blame me for politely declining and scooping up my little pup real quick!
But then I realized, Wendy, that I already know the answer to your question! After all that! If you purchased your
theme park tickets by selecting a range of dates from a calendar during which the tickets can be used, you have most likely purchased date-based tickets. At this time, Guests with date-based tickets do not need to make Theme Park Reservations to visit a theme park at the
Walt Disney World Resort. On the
Theme Park Reservations page, you can see some examples of tickets that still need these types of reservations. For example, I myself must make these reservations because I'm an
Annual Passholder, which is not a date-based ticket.
Now I see that your time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort is rapidly approaching and I hope you're planning on visiting
Disney Springs during your trip.
Disney Parks Blog recently gave a sneak peek of the brand-new drone show coming to this shopping and dining district on May 24, 2024. I hope you're able to catch it!
Wendy, if you have any other questions,
I'll be here for you. And hopefully next time, I'll stick to what I know or my regular research channels to get you the answers. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to visit a snazzily dressed gentleman with a not-so-suspicious skull and crossbones design on his top hat. He says he has some friends on the other side...and he's a doctor! A doctor with a top hat! What could possibly go wrong?
Are you ready?
