Hi we are travelling from the Uk in Sept 2012 and staying at the AKL, this is our 4th stay in as many years. I believe there is a new area of Magic Kingdom now open and if so are there any special dining events we should not miss out on? we are on DDP.

    Hi Phillip,

It's always lovely to receive a question from a fellow Brit!

The Storybook Circus section of the New Fantasyland expansion, which includes Barnstormer – Starring the Great Goofini, the Casey Jr. Splash & Soak Station, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, opened back in July.

It was then announced on the Disney Parks Blog on 7 August 2012 that the grand opening of the New Fantasyland will take place on 6 December 2012. Attractions included in this opening are Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel’s Grotto, Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.(Previews of these attractions will begin on 19 November 2012)

The New Fantasyland expansion will then continue with the opening of Princess Fairytale Hall in 2013 and the debut of a new Disney “mountain” in the form of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in 2014.

Reservations for the brand new Be Our Guest Restaurant opened up just yesterday. The very first seating however will be for dinner on 19 November 2012 so unfortunately, it looks as though you will have to wait until your next visit to dine here.

If I can be of any further help, please don't hesitate to ask me another question.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
