Hello there, Megan!
I'm happy to see you sail back to us at planDisney with your question. It's great to have you here! How exciting that you'll soon be traveling to Port Canaveral to board the
Disney Wish. You are going to have a lovely time! It's so important to have your
travel documentation shipshape so you are ready to sail. At this time, for travel to the United States, the U.S. Embassy website states that for certain nationalities, the passport or other travel document must be valid for at least six months beyond the proposed stay in the United States. The six-month requirement does not apply to United Kingdom passports.
I also checked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs page of the Government of The Bahamas website. I saw that United Kingdom citizens do not need a visa to visit the Bahamas for short-term tourism. It is ultimately the guest's responsibility to identify the required documentation to travel from their home country, so please review the Foreign Travel Advice - Bahamas section of the official UK government website as your trip approaches. I saw there that to enter The Bahamas, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you plan to leave. As you plan to leave prior to the 6-month mark, you should meet the appropriate date requirements.
The Disney Wish has whimsical design details from bow to stern. I find it so fun to explore the ship in search of the artwork and to notice the attention to detail the Disney Imagineers put into the crafting of the vessel and the story she tells. If you'd like to find out more about the ship, I recommend that you take the "Imagineering the Disney Ships" tour onboard. It's a complimentary tour, but space is limited, so if you are interested, use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to sign up for a tour time on the day you embark the ship. If you need assistance, please stop by the Guest Services desk.
Megan, I wish you a wonderful holiday and lovely cruise! Please sail back to us if you have more questions. My pals and I will do our best to help!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
