I am travelling from the uk and need to bring some electrical items, what voltage are you in and do I need to bring an adapter as I don't think you are on 3 pin plugs like here in uk

    Hello again Rebecca,
You sound very much like me Rebecca in that you like to plan every detail for your jolly holidays and I must agree that it's a really great idea especially when travelling to a foreign country like the United States of America.
Currently, (see what I did there?!) the standard voltage for 2 & 3 pin electrical sockets in the USA is 110-120 Volts AC which is much lower than our UK mains electricity of 230 Volts.
This means that Guests from the United Kingdom like you and I are required to use an electrical travel plug adaptor which is suitable for use in the USA.
I've discovered that these days electrical travel plug adaptors can easily be purchased either online or from most chemists, supermarkets and even last minute at the airport.
I'm sure you've already arranged this important travel document but be sure to apply for your Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) from the official US Customs and Border Protection website at least 72 hours prior to travelling to the USA plus I also thought you may find this International Travel - Frequently Asked Question to be another useful planning resource.
If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your upcoming holiday to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort please do pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
    ~ Jane
