Hey there, Samantha! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question.
I am very happy to let you know that International Guests are more than welcome to use the Minnie Van service just the same way as American Guests can. However, I can see that your problem stems from not being able to download the Lyft mobile app itself, so let's see if I can help you out with that! If you can't find the app on your device's mobile app store (App Store for iPhones and Google Play Store for Android devices), try switching to the American store.
To do this on an iPhone, head to the App Store, click on your Profile Icon, select your name, and click on Country/Region. Now, simply click on Change Country or Region, and you'll be all set! On an Android device, open the Google Play Store, tap on your Profile Icon, click on Settings, General, Account and device preferences, and Country and Profiles. Now, simply select the United States of America and follow the on-screen instructions.
Samantha, I do want to let you know that Lyft takes phone numbers from all over the world, so you shouldn't run into any trouble while trying to sign up on the app. In fact, I am a Mexican Guest with a Mexican phone number, and I was able to sign up without any issues! That being said, I want to remind you that you'll be able to reach any destination within the
Walt Disney World Resort through
Monorails, Buses, Friendship Boats, and the Disney Skyliner, and they are all complimentary during your stay. In addition to this, you will also be able to request cabs and other ride-share services like Uber from anywhere within the Resort. I do LOVE Minnie Vans, but it always helps to know about our other options as Guests!
If you have any other questions at all, you know where to find us. It's been a pleasure helping you out!
Toodles,
Ana Paula
