Hello We are travelling from the u.k. This will be our first time staying on property We have been lucky to receive the free dining and merchandise credit although wondering if this would include the refillable mug which my boys are most excited about.

    Hi Colette!
    Welcome to planDisney.

It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, and I'm very excited to see this is your first time staying at a Disney Resort hotel!  I'm sure you'll love the close proximity to the theme parks, and being immersed in all the magic for 24 hours a day.

I am also very pleased to see that you are taking advantage of the special offer for UK guests for stays at Walt Disney World Resort for 2024.  The Dining and Merchandise Credit will be sent to you by email soon after you have checked in to your hotel.  You can download this to your phone for easy access.  As the name suggests, you will be able to use this for food and shopping across the whole Resort, however you please, at most locations in the four theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney-owned restaurants and shops at Disney Springs (and a few other non-Disney places - please check at the till to be sure).  Don't forget to visit World of Disney while you are there!

The Resort Refillable Mugs are not included in the Dining and Merchandise Credit, but you are very welcome to purchase them from the Quick-Service location at your Disney Resort hotel.  The current price is $21.99, and they are valid for 14 days of unlimited refills of fountain drinks, including sugar-free options, and hot drinks of various teas, coffee and hot chocolate.  They are such good value for money!  I calculated that for coffee alone (my drink of choice!) at approximately $3.79 for an individual cup, after 2 days all my drinks using my mug are free for the rest of my holiday!  Please note that all prices are subject to change

These mugs can be refilled at the beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel, usually located at the Quick Service Restaurants.  If you have a dining reservation at a Table Service Restaurant there are no free refills available there, but you can visit the nearest Quick Service Restaurant to refill your mug before your meal and take that with you to your table.

There are currently no refill stations for these mugs at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, but they are easily transportable with lids that clip shut, and because they have handles you could use a carabiner clip to attach them to a bag.  You are also very welcome to refill them at the water fountains or ask for a cup of free iced water at any Quick-Service location at the theme parks.

The water parks - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach - both offer the purchase of a different mug for unlimited refills of soda for a day at the water park.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  You can also send a question directly to me if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort.  Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news about events that may be happening during your stay.
