    We are 6A, 1C travelling Sept.5-9. Staying in AKL with Savanna view. Want to have special in-room dining experience, like welcome cocktail reception, etc. to take advantage of view. Any reccomendations?

    It sounds like you're going all out on this vacation.  Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful, and rooms with a savanna view are amazing.  Having an small celebration in your room sounds like the perfect way to start your vacation, and with in-room dining it's easy to pull this off.

    The Animal Kingdom Lodge's food and beverage department actually has a small menu of in-room catering options - things like cheese & crackers, cookie trays, dipped strawberries w/champagne, truffles perfect for small gatherings.  You can also order wines, beers and specialty drinks. 

    24-hour setup time is necessary.  I recommend contacting the resort, directly at (407)938-3000 and telling them that you would like to speak with someone from the food and beverage department to arrange in-room dining.
