We are travelling from Perth Australia for our first visit, we are planning our trip for April '09 - however would like to miss 'Spring Break' can you please advise when is the best time in April to plan our 10 days in Orlando. Many thanks

If you want to miss 'Spring Break' I would recommend postponing until at least the last two weeks of April.   I live in Florida and can appreciate how much Spring Break adds to crowds, not just at Disney.    You will typically find that Spring Break starts in Early March and runs through mid-April.

Here is another factor to consider.   I checked on your behalf when Easter is scheduled for in 2009.   Its on April 12 next year which means for school-aged children with the week after Easter off, this could keep the crowds large that entire week.  Therefore, if you have the flexibility, I would try for even late April to avoid any carry-over from this popular traveling time.
