We're travelling as a party of 6 (inc: kids 8, 6 & 3) from the UK in Aug 2017, I wondered if there were any strategies to making the most of our days in the Parks considering the crowd levels will be pretty high?

Hi Alexandra and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family actually visited the Walt Disney World Resort during the last 2 weeks of August this year and much to our surprise, actually found the crowds to be pretty manageable as many of the American children are back in school by this time.

Here are my top 3 tips for getting the most out of your time at the Disney Parks:-

1/ Get to the Theme Parks and Water Parks EARLY!
By arriving at the Disney Parks prior to park opening, you will ensure that you are amongst the first guests to enter the parks each day. You will be amazed at just how many attractions you will be able to enjoy with very minimal queues in those first couple of hours before many guests arrive.

    2/ Take advantage of Disney's FastPass+ Service
If you plan to arrive at the Theme Parks prior to park opening, I would recommend making your FastPass+ selections for late morning/early afternoon by which time the crowds will have started to build.

3/ Plan to eat your meals at non-typical times.
For instance, you will find that the majority of guests will stop for lunch at around 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. By having your lunch before or after these peak times will allow you to take advantage of smaller queues at the attractions whilst many other guests are eating.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
