We are travelling from overseas and want to stay in Florida for eight days or so. We are not sure whether to stay at the disney resort hotel for the whole time and take day trips to other places in/near Orlando. Can you give us advice on this ?

You must be so excited for your overseas adventure!

Where to stay on your vacation to Florida will depend on how many days that you plan to visit Walt Disney World. Are there a lot of Orlando attractions that you are also interested in seeing? WDW, alone, can easily take up every minute of your 8 day holiday.

Are you planning on renting a car? If so, your hotel location becomes less important. It is nice to immerse yourself in the magic of Walt Disney World though. When staying on property, it truly seems like an escape from reality.

If you are not renting a car, I would stay at WDW. If you only want to go see a couple of nearby attractions outside of WDW, you can always get a taxi or rent a car for a day or 2. While in WDW, you can utilize Disney transportation and not have to worry about driving. Disney's Magical Express motor coach service will also transport you between the airport and WDW-owned hotels.

If I can help you further, please feel free to write back with more information. Travel safely!
