Rebecca, a warm welcome to planDisney. Summer in Florida is the stuff of dreams!
Walt Disney World offers
Disability Access Service (DAS) to Guests who, because of a disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment. Once DAS is in place, it allows up to five fellow Guests to select return times for experiences rather than waiting in line.
Rebecca, as a fellow U.K. resident, I know that we cannot preregister for DAS at this time. Not to worry, you can still obtain DAS in just a few moments. Once you arrive at any Walt Disney World theme park, speak with
Guest Relations to determine if DAS would be a good fit. The person who needs the DAS service must be present for the interview. You will only need to do this once for DAS to be valid for your entire trip.
Cast Members are so kind and helpful and can assist with other needs too, such as guidance on storing and refrigerating necessary medicine. Should you have any queries with your DAS within the parks, you can reach out to the Guest Experience Team (usually under a big blue umbrella), and they will aim to help.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend downloading the
My Disney Experience App. It's the source of many wonderful things at Walt Disney World, and it's worth getting a feel for it before arrival.
Rebecca, I hope this information enables you and all your fellow Guests to have a wonderful time, making many magical memories at Walt Disney World. Wishing you blue skies and sunshine, Louise.
