We are travelling to Orlando in July with our camper? Is the Fort Wilderness Campground suitable to stay at? My girls are 14 and 16; we will be taking in the Universal, Seaworld, discovery Cove, Magic Kingdom, etc..

    Hi Wannetta!

Yes! Yes! Fort Wilderness is absolutely suitable. In fact, it's highly recommended! The first time I went to Disney at 3 years old, I stayed at Fort Wilderness. The first time my daughter went to Disney at 10 months old, we stayed at Fort Wilderness. It is a magical place!

First of all Fort Wilderness is pristine--clean, easy to maneuver around and beautiful. There are also many extras--petting zoo, late night sing-a-longs and outdoor movies, Electrical Water Pageant, Mickeys BBQ, Hoop-Dee-Doo (my fave!!) and bike/canoe/golf cart/fishing/pedal boats/kayak rentals. Plus, by staying at a Disney resort gives you perks like Extra Magic Hours and access to Disney transportation.

Check out the Fort Wilderness page on Disney's site to read about all the amenities.  Also click around on allears.net because there are extra tips from guests and preferred areas to stay, etc.

I'm not above begging, please please stay at Fort Wilderness! You will love it!
