I am travelling to Orlando for the ICU world cheerleading championships. This includes a Disney hopper pass, I’m wondering how I can add a DSA to this due to my own disabilities and what evidence I need to show for this.

    Welcome to planDisney Lauren!

Love seeing you here! Congrats on your cheerleader making it to the ICU Junior World & World Cheerleading Championships!

Disability Access Service or DAS is such a helpful service for those who have disabilities and have difficulty waiting in traditional queues. There are two ways to register for this service. The pre-registration option called DAS Advance is unfortunately only available to guests who are currently in the United States. This means that if you are located in Great Britain, which your name on my screen is indicating, it won't be available to you. If for some reason, my screen is incorrect and you are in the United States at least two days before your park visit then you can go ahead and visit the DAS Advance registration page and "Request Live Video Chat." If you are in the United States you can register in person at a Guest Relations location in any of the theme parks. Cast Members in both registration situations will ask a few questions and once approved set you up properly. There is no evidence to provide at this time and it will just be a conversation. If you are not approved for DAS, Cast Members will still guide you to accommodations that might help you.

One of those options that you can use with or without DAS is to purchase Genie+. This is a service that you purchase each day for each person in your party. It will allow you to minimize your wait time by selecting Lightning Lane return times. There are some timing rules with when you can select your next Lightning Lane but the My Disney Experience Mobile App makes it easy to keep track of it. It will say right on top of your Tip Board under "My Disney Genie Day."

I hope you win big and have a great time!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
