Hi. We are travelling in October 2012 and trying, as everyone does, to reduce the costs of the tickets. My question is, with the exchange rate, can it work out cheaper to buy over there in dollars than pre order in sterling here? Stupid question I know!!

    Hi Paul,

I'm afraid that there isn't a simple yes or no answer to your question as it really depends on a number of factors.

When travelling from the UK, you have two options:-

1/ Purchase Disney's Premium or Ultimate tickets from the UK version of the Walt Disney World website HERE

2/ Purchase Magic Your Way Base tickets from the USA version of the Walt Disney World website HERE

As to which is more economical, it really depends on how many days you are planning to visit the Disney theme parks, if you will also be visiting the Disney water parks & DisneyQuest, whether you want the flexibility of being able to park hop during your visit and the current exchange rate.

I would recommend that you price each option up separately and see which works out the cheapest. If you want to ask me another question which is more specific, I would be happy to assist you further.

To help you with planning your trip, I would recommend that you visit the My Holiday Planner website where you can watch a number of videos including my top tips which are aimed specifically at helping UK Guests plan their trips to Walt Disney World.

You will also be able to order a copy of the Little Big Book of Magic guidebook which contains pull out maps and insider tips to help you get the most from your trip as well as a Walt Disney Travel Company brochure and some other planning tools.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
