Hi Kirsty and welcome to the Mom's Panel!
I am so excited to hear that you will be visiting Walt Disney World for the first time as a family later this year.
If you are staying on-site, I would recommend that you arrive at the parks for opening and then return to your resort for a couple of hours early afternoon for a break. Please also be aware that
Baby Care Centres
are available at each of the theme parks, water parks and Downtown
Disney should you need to change or feed your son whilst you are at the parks.
As you probably already know, there are lots of things that you will be able to enjoy with your son at each and every one of the parks. You can find out which attractions are suitable for your son by selecting the "All Ages" box of the "Recommended Ages" tab on the Attractions page of the Walt Disney World website
HERE
Another thing to bear in mind is that the Disney Characters can sometimes seem quite scary to very small children so I would maybe consider booking a character meal for one of your first days to see how he reacts before spending time waiting in line at the parks to see them.
November is a fantastic time of year to visit as the weather will have cooled down and the crowds should be very manageable. If you will be there from 8 November 2011 onwards, you may also want to consider attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which is a lot of fun!
I hope that this information has been of help and I will be only too happy to answer any other questions which you may have.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with many memories which will last a lifetime!
