Hi Holly,
Planning a trip to Disney World is always super exciting!
When my boys were that age, we spent most of our time in the Magic Kingdom. There was so much for them to do in that park. Since we spent so much time in the Magic Kingdom, we found it super convenient to stay in one of the resorts along the Resort Monorail Line.
There are several advantages to staying at one of the resorts along the monorail line including little to no wait time getting to the Magic Kingdom. You can also transfer from the Resort Monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) to the Epcot Line and take an express Monorail to Epcot. Staying at one of these resorts also meant we could get an early start when the boys were at their freshest and head over to the Magic Kingdom. When they needed a break, we could go back to our resort for a break to take a nap or a swim break and then go back later. We found the extra money we paid to stay at one of the resorts on the monorail line well worth it.
We often found that
The Contemporary Resort offered the best value especially if we stayed in a Garden Wing. Keep an eye open for
special offers that may be available during the time you'll be traveling.
Here are some other things I think your son would love about this resort:
* The Monorail goes through the hotel - kids love this!
* Chef Mickey's is located in it.
* Great pool & water sport activities.
* You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the Contemporary.
* Lots of activities including outdoor movies.
Please feel free to visit with any other questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
