Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Blog, Kirsty. I'm so happy to hear you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort this Spring. And with a little one in tow! How very exciting.
I totally understand your concern. My daughter made her first visit to the theme parks last summer when she was just 11-months old. She had the very best time, but there were certainly some additional things we had to take into consideration when preparing for our trip. At that time, she was taking a morning nap and an afternoon nap which cut into our touring plans a bit. We always left the theme parks in the afternoon to head back to our Resort hotel for a family rest, and then we'd return to the parks in the evening. We didn't want to be doing that for her morning nap too, though! When she napped in the morning, we took that opportunity to see a show like Festival of the Lion King (it's much easier to hold a baby when you're sitting versus standing!), stroll through stores, or catch a bite to eat at a Quick-Service location where she could stay in her stroller to snooze. My family usually vacations in the summer, so I've never put any of my babies in a infant carrier (too hot for this mama!), but I've seen many, many Guests carry their little ones through queues with the help of some shoulder and back support.
Did you know that each theme park has a conveniently located
Baby Care Center? Each one features a nursing room, changing room, living-room area, kitchen, and on-site shop with baby care essentials for purchase. My little ones have always much preferred the changing rooms in the Baby Care Centers over the changing areas in the park restrooms!
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
